Arwel Jones MSc MTS MIBiol

Arwel Jones has 25 years’ consultancy experience of working alongside a wide range of public, private and voluntary sector organisations and individuals. His areas of expertise are

Arwel is an Associate Lecturer at the School for Business and Regional Development, University of Wales Bangor. He has undertaken evaluation of the National Assembly’s People in Communities and Communities First programmes, as well as interim evaluation of the West Wales and the Valleys Objective One and INTERREG programmes. He was also involved in reviewing national and regional economic development policies for WAG. He is a former member of Snowdonia National Park Committee and has engaged extensively with most local authorities, National Park authorities and many non-public sector bodies in Wales. He also has extensive international experience and is, for instance a formally registered expert advisor on rural tourism and development of DG1-A of the European Commission. He has written many consultancy reports, conference papers and articles for professional journals and acted as rapporteur on many occasions. He is fluent in both spoken and written English and Welsh.
